The Church of Pentecost U.S.A. Inc. Strategic Summit 2025 Kicks Off
The 2025 Heads, Directors, Area Secretaries, and National Ministry Leaders’ Summit of The Church of Pentecost U.S.A. Inc., dubbed “Strategic Summit 2025,” has commenced in splendor at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) Rehoboth, located at the National Office in Wayne, New Jersey.
The two-day summit, which began on Thursday, October 16, and concludes today, Friday, October 17, 2025, is being held under the theme: “Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling – Accelerating Vision 2028” (Ephesians 4:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Galatians 1:24). The event gathered about 35 participants, including National Executive Members, Area Heads, Directors, Area Secretaries, and National Ministry Leaders from across the nation.
Key speakers for this year’s summit include Apostle Seth Samuel Asante (Regional Missions Coordinator for America and National Head of COP USA), Dr. Lee Roy Martin (Clarence J. Abbott Professor of Biblical Studies, Pentecostal Theological Seminary), Apostle Dr. Ben Debrah (National Head, COP Sweden), Apostle John Obeng Kesse (Rtd.) (Former Area Head, Suame, COP Ghana), Apostle John Kudolf Ansah (COP USA National Secretary and New Jersey Area Head), and Apostle Dr. Daniel Okyere Walker (Rtd.) (Former Executive Council Member and Tarkwa Area Head, COP Ghana).
Delivering the welcome and keynote address, Apostle Seth Samuel Asante emphasized that the summit serves as a platform for reflection and strategic realignment of COP USA’s mission in light of Vision 2028. He recalled that last year’s inaugural summit laid the groundwork for renewed focus, particularly on evangelism, church planting, discipleship, and mentorship.
Touching on the Vision 2028 Strategy Document, Apostle Asante outlined the vision’s biblical foundations and strategic priorities, including capacity building, leadership development, strengthening families, expanding social impact through PENTSOS initiatives, and positioning COP USA as a Tov (Good) Church.
In his session on “The Challenges of Holiness Among Pentecostal Leaders Today” and “Equipping Emerging Leaders: Preparing the Youth for Leadership,” Dr. Lee Roy Martin reminded church leaders of their sacred calling and urged them to rekindle their passion for God’s presence, prayer, fasting, and the anointing. He stressed that the role of Christian leaders is not merely to do ministry, but to equip the saints to fulfill the vision.
Apostle Dr. Ben Debrah, National Head of COP Sweden, speaking on “Jesus’ Model of Ministry of Service, Teamwork, and Oversight” (John 13:1–30), urged leaders to exemplify humility and teamwork while mentoring the next generation. “There are vast opportunities for the Church to declare and display Christ to the world. Jesus has set the template—it’s our turn to arise and leave a legacy for generations to come,” he said.
Concluding the day, Apostle Asante spoke on “The Pentecostal Minister and His Spiritual Life,” emphasizing that a minister’s spiritual vitality is the cornerstone of lasting impact. “Congregations may forget eloquent sermons or impressive programs, but they never forget authentic godliness demonstrated in pastoral life,” he noted.
Other sessions scheduled for the summit include Church Planting Strategies in the Contemporary World, Monitoring and Evaluation: The Vision 2028 Pursuit, From Vision to Reality, and Building a ‘Tov’ Church – The Growth of Biblical Goodness in the Life of the Church.
Among attendees were National Executive Members and Area Heads, including Apostles Andrews Darko Donkor (Ohio Area Head), Dr. Mbanyane Mhango (Colorado Area Head), Stephen K. O. Amponsah (Texas Area Head), Isaac Anane-Sarfo (New York Area Head), and Joseph Antwi (California Area Head).
