COP USA Inducts First PEMEM Director and Inaugurates Directorate

The Church of Pentecost U.S.A., Inc. marked a historic milestone on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with the inauguration of the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) Directorate and the induction of Apostle Elvis Samuel Okyere Boateng as the ministry’s first Director in the United States.

The ceremony, held at the Bronx Central Auditorium in New York, brought together more than 600 people, including ministers, church leaders, National Executives, members of PEMEM, and other congregants.

Apostle Seth Samuel Asante, the National Head of The Church of Pentecost U.S.A., Inc., who chaired the occasion, welcomed the gathering and outlined the significance and purpose of the event. He noted that the ceremony was historic, adding the three purposes as: to worship the Lord, to inaugurate the new PEMEM Directorate, and to induct the first PEMEM Director in the history of the Church in the United States. The National Head also extended a special welcome to Apostle Elvis and Mrs. Beatrice Okyere Boateng from Missions – Argentina. The National Head also took the opportunity to express special appreciation, on behalf of the leadership of the Church, to Pastor Dr. Hayford Gyampoh, the immediate Past National Leader of the Ministry, and his wife, Mrs. Roselyn Gyampoh, Esq., for their selfless, dedicated, and visionary leadership. He acknowledged their significant contributions and commitment, which have helped advance and establish the Ministry to its present level.

The ceremony featured Scripture readings from Numbers 27:15–23, delivered in English and Twi by Elder Nana Yaw Adom and Elder Asafo Adjei Kyeremanteng, respectively.

Delivering the Word of God, Apostle Seth Samuel Asante preached on the theme, “But I Will Establish My Covenant With You” (Genesis 6:18). Drawing lessons from the life of Noah, whom he described as a man who responded to God’s call and lived faithfully within His covenant through obedience, the National Head challenged the congregation to cultivate and maintain a strong covenant relationship with God in their quest to make an impact in society.

With focus on “Making Impact in Your Society,” Apostle Asante posed the rhetorical question, “Can One Person Make a Difference?”, and encouraged men to deepen their relationship with God, distinguish themselves through Christian living, and make positive contributions to their families, workplaces, communities, and the Church.

He outlined several principles necessary for believers who desire to make a lasting impact, including distinction (Romans 12:2; Matthew 5:13–16), covenant relationship with God, obedience (Hebrews 11:7), faith (Hebrews 11:7), action (2 Peter 2:5), faithfulness, and resilience. Emphasizing the importance of a covenant relationship with God, he stated that “impact is not about prominence but participation in God’s presence” (John 15:5).

Concluding the message, Apostle Asante reiterated that God is still looking for men like Noah and urged the congregation to make themselves available to God and remain committed to rising and building an ark. He further noted that just as God remembered Noah and saved his household, God is looking for men who will become conduits through whom He can bring salvation and transformation to homes, societies, and nations through an established covenant with Him. The charge gave prominence to another possible PEMEM slogan: “Man of God, Build an Ark.”

Apostle Foday Kaba Dumbuya, President of the Pentecost Biblical Seminary, led the congregation in prayer following the message.

Following the sermon, the PEMEM Directorate was formally inaugurated, and Apostle Elvis Samuel Okyere Boateng was inducted into office as its Director.

Apostle John Kudolf Ansah, National Secretary and Conductor for the occasion, read the profile of the newly inducted Director, highlighting key aspects of his background, experience, and service to The Church of Pentecost. The profile noted his involvement in the work of the Church at various levels of responsibility and underscored his preparation for the new assignment.

Administering the official charge to the new Director and Executives of the Directorate, Apostle Asante urged them to remain committed to God and faithfully execute the mandate entrusted to them. He charged the leadership to provide purposeful leadership for PEMEM and work collaboratively with the wider Church leadership to pursue the spiritual development and empowerment of men within The Church of Pentecost U.S.A.

Prayers were subsequently offered for Apostle Boateng and his family, seeking divine wisdom, strength, grace, and guidance as he assumes his new responsibility.

In his response, the newly inducted PEMEM Director, Apostle Elvis Samuel Okyere Boateng, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Church for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to serve diligently and work closely with the leadership and members of PEMEM to advance the mission and vision of the ministry in the United States.

The inauguration and induction mark an important step in the development of PEMEM in the USA, positioning the ministry to contribute to the spiritual development and empowerment of men and to the broader mission and vision of The Church of Pentecost in the nation.
